Dance is our passion and Rio Zouk Fusion works closely with other well established professionals in the dance world. We believe it is important to raise the profile of all Latin, Brazilian and African dance styles throughout the UK.
Riquita was born in Angola in 1971, moved to Portugal in 1975 during the civil war. She first heard zouk in 1984 by a well known and respected band called Kassav and fell in love with the sound. Since then she started going to parties where the main music was zouk and people were dancing kizomba, although at the time it wasn’t called that, some called it passada. In 1986 Riquita returned to Angola for holidays and learned even more moves.

Dance is a strenuous and physically demanding activity. For the body to be in peak condition it is widely recognised that massage not only relaxes the muscles but tones and strengthens them too. For you to get the most out of dance, you will soon realise that taking care of the body through a healthy diet along with regular massage will only enhance your dance experience.
